WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Carolina University Men's Soccer team is off to a strong start to the 2025 season, improving to 2-0 following a thrilling 3-2 victory over Pikeville on Saturday night. The Bruins will now turn their attention to their first road contest of the year as they travel to Columbia, South Carolina, to face Columbia International University on Tuesday, September 3.
Carolina has shown early offensive firepower, combining balanced scoring with strong possession play through two matches. The Bruins will aim to continue that momentum against a quality Columbia International side that traditionally fields a disciplined and physical team.
Tuesday's match marks an important opportunity for Carolina University to test themselves away from home, as the squad looks to build on its perfect start and sharpen its form playing a tough regional opponent in CIU.
"We've had a good start, but our group understands the importance of staying focused," said Head Coach Craig Golding. "Columbia International is a disciplined team that will challenge us in every phase. This will be a great early test for our guys to see how we respond away from home."
Kickoff is scheduled for Tuesday, September 3, at 7:00pm in Columbia, S.C. The Bruins will seek their third straight win to open the season.
Carolina University Bruins enters Tuesday's matchup at Columbia International University with a perfect 2–0 record as Columbia International University Rams come into this contest unbeaten at 1–0 overall —their sole result being a strong 3–1 road victory over Bob Jones University on August 26, 2025
