Carolina University Women’s Volleyball Set to Host Quad Match

Winston-Salem, N.C. — The Carolina University Women's Volleyball team is set to return to action this weekend as they host a competitive quad match inside Williams Gymnasium. The Bruins will welcome Spartanburg Methodist University, Johnson & Wales University–Charlotte, and Livingstone College for a full day of volleyball in front of the home crowd.

The event marks one of the Bruins' non-conference highlights of the season, giving the team a chance to test their depth and consistency against three opponents in a single-day format.

Head Coach Chelsea Jones expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity:

"This quad gives us the chance to compete against quality programs in front of our fans. It's a good test for our players both physically and mentally, and we're looking forward to the energy in the gym."

A Look at the Opponents

  • Spartanburg Methodist College enters the match known for their aggressive serving and quick pace of play. The Pioneers are expected to provide an early challenge for the Bruins' back row defense.

  • Johnson & Wales–Charlotte brings a scrappy and balanced roster, with the ability to extend rallies and pressure teams into mistakes.

  • Livingstone College rounds out the field, bringing athleticism and net presence that will force the Bruins to sharpen their offensive execution.

Building Momentum

Carolina University will look to build momentum as the season progresses, using the quad match as both a development opportunity and a showcase of their home-court advantage. With several early-season performances already highlighting the squad's depth and team chemistry, this weekend offers another step in their growth.
