Box Score 3 Laurinburg, NC- Carolina University Baseball played the Knights of St. Andrews University in a 3 game series to start the week.

The Bruins offense had a quick start earning 2 runs in the 1st inning, giving the Blue and Gold a lead. The Knights came back in the bottom of the 7th, to finish the game 2-3. In game 2 the Knights kept their momentum from the first match up, ending the game 1-8. The second part of the series was a single game hosted on Mando Field at Rich park, with a final score of 4-17.
Game 1Â
The Bruins capitalized on the Knights errors in the 1st inning. Elias Nurideen reached first on an error by the Knight's 3rd baseman, advancing Julius Torres to second. Both Torres and Nurideen advanced on a fly ball. Next up to bat was Bryan Deegan he earned an RBI, bringing Torres back to home plate and advancing Nurideen to third base. Now on third base Nurideen was quick enough to seize a wild pitch opportunity tallying 2 runs for the Bruins in the top of the 1st.Â
Adam Conrad pitched 5 innings, and tallied 9 strikeouts.Â
Game 2
Julius Torres had the only run for the Bruins in the top of the 3rd, scoring on an error by the 3rd basemanÂ
Game 3Â
In the last game of the series Alejandro Rodriguez led with 2 RBIs and 1 home run, Bryan Deegan and Paxton Tucker both tallied RBIs as well. Alexiel Delgado had two runs for the Blue and Gold.Â

Next up, The Bruins are battling the Cavaliers of Montreat College, in a doubleheader at home this Saturday at 2:00 and 5:00pm.Â
