Box Score Winston-Salem, NC – Carolina University Men's Basketball took on Virginia University of Lynchburg today at home, emerging victorious with a final score of 85-66.
The Bruins fought hard throughout the game, ultimately pulling away in the second half after a competitive first half, which saw the Bruins leading 38-27 at the break.
Despite the close first half, Carolina University's offense came alive in the second period. A series of aggressive plays, including a 9-point run, shifted the momentum in the Bruins' favor. From that point, the Blue and Gold took full control and never looked back, dominating the remainder of the game.
Zivko Damjanovic nearly secured a double-double, finishing with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Leading the charge offensively was Cameron Buchanan, who came out strong in both the first and second halves, sparking the Bruins' offense and helping to seal the win.
The Bruins return to action tomorrow night at 5:30 PM, where they will host Alice Lloyd College at home.
