Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University announces the hiring of Jarett Miller as Head Baseball Coach. 

"We are excited to see what Coach Miller will accomplish during his first year as head coach of the CU Baseball program," said Athletic Director Chelsea Jones. "The values of CU Athletics are his top priority and he has gained the respect of so many on campus already. We are blessed to have Coach Miller as a part of our CU family."

"I am super, super grateful for this opportunity and just wanna give God all the glory," Miller said. "I'm fired up for all we're going to accomplish from an athletic standpoint but also in building an incredible, professional culture."

In his first year at CU, Miller led the Bruins pitchers before transitioning to the role of Interim Head Coach. In the 2023 season, Miller coached six NCCAA South All Region Team members including Second Team All American Deion Tubbs. Under his leadership, the Bruins claimed their third straight NCCAA South Regional Tournament appearance. 

Prior to joining the coaching staff at Carolina University, Miller spent more than a decade working at private facilities as a baseball instructor. He also spent the 2016-2017 season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Guilford College Softball program.

Before starting his coaching career, Miller was a successful pitcher at the collegiate and professional levels. After being drafted in the 2011 MLB Draft by the Atlanta Braves, he also logged time with the Baltimore Orioles and Southern Illinois Miners (Independent Ball).

Miller and his wife, Kellie, have two sons - Judah (5) and Miles (2).
