Rio Grande, OH - Carolina University Men's Basketball played in the Bevo Francis Classic against University of Rio Grande and Indiana University Kokomo this weekend. The Bruins faced-off against host, Rio Grande, on Friday, November 11th. The first half of this game started off competitive with the Bruins and Red Storm trading baskets. Rio Grande took the lead and extended it to a score of 45-28 by halftime. Starting the second half, the Bruins took some action scoring a few three's initially, but it wasn't enough to keep up as they eventually fell to the Red Storm 97-67. 

Micah Cooper led the Bruins with 16 points and 5 rebounds, followed by Luka Suster with 10 points. Cameron Buchanan and Grady Boyce each went 3-5 from behind the arc. 

On Saturday, November 12th, Carolina University took on Indiana University Kokomo. Kokomo started off the game with 15 unanswered points. The Bruins showed some efforts to respond but finished the first half down 43-12. CU continued to struggle offensively and Kokomo stretched their lead to finish 96-39. 

Vladimir Vibert led the team with 7 points, followed by Micah Cooper and Charlie Stallings Jr. with 6. Latrelle Standifer led the Bruins with 6 rebounds. Cooper was named to the All-Tournament Team. 

The CU Bruins are now 1-3 and will be on the road again Tuesday, November 15th to play NCAA DII St. Augustine's University at 7:30 pm. LiveStream and LiveStats will be available.
