Carolina University Women's Basketball Announces 2026-27 Schedule
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Carolina University Women's Basketball and second-year Head Coach Hannah Latiolais have announced the Bruins' 2026-27 schedule, featuring a challenging mix of home contests, road trips, tournament events and NCAA Division I opponents.
The Bruins will open the season at home on Thursday, October 29, hosting Montreat College at 7 p.m. inside Williams Gymnasium at the Pope Activities Center.
Carolina's early-season schedule features several challenging road contests, including trips to Lipscomb University, North Carolina Central University, Warner University and Webber International University. The Bruins will also face NCAA Division I opponents Western Carolina, Queens, UNC Greensboro and Appalachian State in exhibition contests.
CU will participate in two early-season events, beginning with the Jean Edge Classic in Rocky Mount, N.C., where the Bruins will face Johnson & Wales and Regent on November 14-15. Carolina will then travel to Rio Grande, Ohio, for the Bevo Francis Classic, taking on Indiana University East and the University of Rio Grande on November 20-21.
"We are excited about the schedule we have put together for this season," Latiolais said. "It will challenge us in a lot of different ways and give our team opportunities to compete against quality programs throughout the year. We want to continue building our program and be prepared to play our best basketball when it matters most."
The second half of the schedule features key Continental Athletic Conference competition. Carolina will travel to Washington Adventist for a CAC Pod on January 22-23 before hosting another CAC Pod inside Williams Gymnasium on February 12-13 against Georgia Southern – East Georgia Campus and Hesston College.
Other home opponents include WVU Tech, Morris College, Spartanburg Methodist, Alice Lloyd, Georgia Gwinnett and Bluefield University.
Carolina closes the regular season on Saturday, February 20, traveling to Spartanburg Methodist College for a 4 p.m. matchup.
