WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Carolina University Athletics has officially announced that the University has accepted an invitation to become a full member of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) beginning with the 2027-28 academic year, marking an exciting new chapter in the continued growth and success of the Bruins' athletic programs.
Prior to joining the AAC as a full member, Carolina University will compete during the 2026-27 academic year as a member of the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC). The transition provides the Bruins with an opportunity to continue building competitive excellence while preparing for long-term success in one of the NAIA's premier athletic conferences.
The move to the Appalachian Athletic Conference reflects Carolina University's ongoing commitment to providing an exceptional student-athlete experience while competing at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics.
