WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Carolina University proudly announces that Ashlyn Ellenburg has been named the 2025-26 Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Athletic Trainer of the Year, recognizing her exceptional commitment to the health, safety, and success of CU's student-athletes.

Ellenburg has quickly established herself as an invaluable member of the Bruins athletic department through her outstanding care, professionalism, and dedication to student-athlete wellness. Her collaborative approach with coaches, administrators, and healthcare professionals has made a significant impact across Carolina University's athletic programs.

"We are incredibly proud of Ashlyn for receiving this well-deserved honor," said Carolina University Director of Athletics Chelsea Jones. "Her passion for serving our student-athletes, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to excellence have elevated our athletic training program. This recognition reflects the tremendous impact she has made on our department in a short amount of time."

Ellenburg earned her Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in May 2025. She previously graduated from Western Carolina University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Health Sciences.
