Winston-Salem, NC – University President Charles Petitt and Athletic Director Chelsea Jones are excited to announce Carolina University's official acceptance into the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). As of July 1st, 2024, CU became a full member for the 2024-2025 academic year.

This membership will bring exciting changes for CU's athletic programs. The NAIA offers its member institutions a unique platform in small college athletics. It emphasizes a balance between academics, athletics, and character development. With the adoption of their Champions of Character program, CU will use those five core values (Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership) along with their Biblical principles to build a strong foundation for future leaders.

The Bruins will be joining the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) to compete in conference tournaments for a chance to earn NAIA National Tournament berths.
