WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Carolina University Women's Volleyball has been recognized for its excellence in the classroom, earning the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award after posting an outstanding 3.45 team grade point average during the academic year.

The AVCA Team Academic Award honors collegiate volleyball programs that maintain a year-long team GPA of 3.30 or higher, recognizing the commitment of student-athletes and coaching staffs to academic achievement while competing at a high level on the court.

The Bruins continued to demonstrate that success extends beyond competition, balancing the demands of collegiate athletics with a strong commitment to academic excellence. The team's 3.45 GPA reflects the discipline, dedication, and hard work displayed by Carolina's student-athletes throughout the year.

"We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes for earning the AVCA Team Academic Award," said Carolina University Head Women's Volleyball Coach Chelsea Jones.
