Winston-Salem, NC – The Carolina University Women's Basketball team secured a hard-fought victory against Spartanburg Methodist College on their home court tonight. The Bruins triumphed with a dominant performance, ultimately claiming the win with a final score of 67-56.

After a tough stretch of three games that didn't go as planned, the Blue and Gold came out with renewed energy, determined to defend their home court. The first half was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams exchanging the lead several times. However, in the second half, the Bruins found their rhythm, outscoring the Pioneers in both the third and fourth quarters and leaving no room for a comeback. Keyani Jackson delivered a standout performance, recording a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds to help secure the victory.

Le'Asia Matthews continued her stellar play, contributing significantly to the team's success. With a game-high 24 points, Matthews has been a key player for the Bruins not only in tonight's win but throughout their recent strong stretch. 

The Bruins will be back in action on December 18th, when they take on Point University at home, with tip-off scheduled for 3:00 PM.
