Box Score

Winston-Salem, NC- Carolina University Men's Basketball (5-14) played at home tonight, battling against the Virginia University of Lynchburg (0-21).

The Bruins of Carolina University made the most of their home-court advantage tonight. The crowd in Williams Gymnasium was nothing short of electric. With a crowd this excited, the Blue and Gold naturally showed out, beating the Dragons in a neck-and-neck game. As the score bounced back and forth for the majority of the second half, Ethan Bell was reliable on the free throw line, taking the game from 77-77 to 79-77 with only a second left.

Ethan Bell's consistency behind the free-throw line was only one of the many things the Bruins did right tonight. Cameron Parker's double-double propelled the Bruins with 15 points and 14 rebounds. His overall impact in tonight's match was crucial for the win. Another outstanding Bruin was Jayden Jackson, who tallied 22 points and 7 rebounds for the Blue and Gold.

The Bruins will be back in action this week on the road on Thursday, February 1, at 7:00 pm as they battle Voorhes University.
