Box Score WINSTON-SALEM, NC - PIU women's basketball team captured their eighth straight win, maintaining an undefeated record at home against Mid Atlantic Christian University, 82-27.

The Bruins got to a 21-7 lead in the first quarter before holding the Mustangs to seven for the majority of the second quarter. A three-pointer from Angel Jackson wrapped up the half to maintain their lead heading into the second frame.

Piedmont continued their offensive measured, going on a 13-3 run. Brianna Best and Angel Jackson registered four points each in the quarter.

Leading 22-18 at the start of the final quarter, the PIU finished with a 19-9 run to take the game. Lexius Houzer recorded six points alone in the fourth quarter.

The Bruins had three players in double-digits at the end of the game, with Houzer 17 leading the way. Best finished with 16, while Jackson recorded 10 points.

PIU will return to play on Monday, January 27, when they face the Tigers of Voorhees College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
