Box Score Winston-Salem, NC -- The Lady Bruins dominated Carolina Christian College, 103-24, Tuesday evening in their first home game of the season.

The Bruins came out hot in the first half, setting the fast-paced tone for the game. PIU's offense commanded the ball, scoring 35 points in the first 10 minutes of play.

Entering the second half, 62-12, the Lady Bruins did not slow down offensively. Even the Bruins defense collected a flurry of steals and rebounds against the Centurions late in the third quarter.

With four minutes left in the game, the Lady Bruins found their final push of momentum when a Carolina Christian guard fouled out, leaving the Centurions with only four players on the court.

Five Lady Bruins found themselves scoring in the double digits. Arian Rumph lead the team with 25 points followed by Noni Kuumba and Anaily Sanchez with 14 and 12 points respectively. Malayah Montgomery and Alysia McLeod added 11 and 10 points each.

"I'm very proud of how we responded tonight," said Head Coach Toccara Tatum. "We have been working hard but just kept coming up on the short end [in previous games]. We needed a win to keep us locked in mentally."

The Lady Bruins will be on the road this weekend as they play Southern Wesleyan University on Friday at 4 PM and Converse College on Saturday at 2 PM.
