Winston-Salem, N.C. — September 27, 2025 — Carolina University Women's Volleyball hosted a home Tri-Match on Saturday, beginning the day with a hard-fought contest against Guilford College before bouncing back in the afternoon with a thrilling five-set victory over Emory & Henry College.
Match One: Guilford 3, Carolina 0
The Lady Bruins opened play at 11 a.m. against the Guilford College Quakers. The opening set was tightly contested, with four ties, but Guilford closed strong to edge out the Bruins 25-23. Carolina worked to regain momentum in the second, but the Quakers used a late run to secure the frame 25-19. Guilford carried that energy into the third, completing the sweep by the same 25-19 margin.

Britney Comolli paced the offense with 10 kills, while SarahElizabeth Samuels and Karli Totel each contributed 7 and 3 kills respectively.

Natalia Cano directed the attack with 14 assists, and Syvannah Poore added 12.

Match Two: Carolina 3, Emory & Henry 2
In the afternoon match, Carolina responded with resilience, outlasting Emory & Henry in a five-set thriller (25-19, 16-25, 25-22, 16-25, 15-12).

Carlota Lobete provided a spark with 8 kills off the bench, while Krystin Walsh chipped in 5 kills and 3 block assists.
