Carolina University Women’s Volleyball Falls 3-1 at Bob Jones University

Greenville, S.C. – September 30, 2025 – Carolina University Women's Volleyball dropped a hard-fought road contest to Bob Jones University on Tuesday evening inside Davis Field House, falling in four sets (17-25, 25-21, 19-25, 17-25). With the result, the Bruins move to 12-7 on the season, while the Bruins of Bob Jones improve to 7-11.

Carolina struggled to find consistency in the opening frame, dropping the first set 25-17 before bouncing back with a strong second set performance to even the match at 1-1. Despite the momentum swing, Bob Jones responded and took control in the third and fourth sets to secure the win.

SarahElizabeth Samuels and Britney Comolli led the attack with 11 kills apiece, while Syvannah Poore set the pace offensively with 15 assists. Defensively, Kai Horta tallied 20 digs, and Emma-Grace Dubuc added nine.

Head Coach Chelsea Jones emphasized her team's resilience despite the setback:

"We battled in stretches tonight but struggled to sustain our rhythm offensively. Credit to Bob Jones for their execution. I'm proud of the fight our players showed, and we'll use this as motivation to sharpen up and prepare for the next challenge."

The Bruins will rest up this weekend before returning to action on Tuesday, October 7, when they host Warren Wilson College in their annual Dig Pink Game, supporting breast cancer awareness.
