Winston-Salem, N.C. – Carolina University Women's Volleyball returns to familiar turf this Saturday to host a tri-match with Guilford College (5-4) and Emory & Henry (2-8). The Bruins enter the weekend with an 11-5 overall record and remain unbeaten at home (5-0) this season.

Recent Results & Momentum

Carolina has shown strong consistency through the first half of its nonconference slate. Highlights include:

  • A 3-0 victory over Warren Wilson on September 23, improving the Bruins to 11-5. The win featured a balanced attack — Britney Comolli and Karli Totel each logged 5 kills, while Valeria Suarez contributed eight digs on the night. Setter Syvannah Poore recorded 13 assists.

  • Overall team statistics through the season show a solid offensive and defensive balance: the Bruins have registered 656 kills. On the defensive end, they've recorded 835 digs and 68 total blocks.

  • Carolina's success is especially pronounced at home, where they remain undefeated. Their 5-0 home mark has been a key part of their .688 winning percentage.

Carolina enters the weekend looking to build momentum on its home floor. Head Coach Chelsea Jones emphasized the importance of consistency in preparation for the tri-match.

"These are two well-coached programs that will challenge us in different ways," said Coach Jones. "We've been focused on our side of the net and continuing to grow in our execution. Playing at home in front of our fans is always a great opportunity to show the progress we're making."

This upcoming tri-match offers the Bruins a chance to extend their momentum and tighten their grip on home-court advantage heading into the heart of the season.
