Lady Bruins Volleyball Set for Tri-Match at Salem College

Winston-Salem, NC — September 19, 2025 — Carolina University Women's Volleyball will continue their strong early-season form this weekend as they travel across town to Salem College for a Tri-Match on Saturday, September 20. The Lady Bruins will face NC Wesleyan University at 2:00 p.m. before squaring off against host Salem College at 4:00 p.m.

This weekend's opponents are familiar foes, as Carolina matched up with both programs just two weekends ago. The Lady Bruins earned a thrilling five-set victory over NC Wesleyan in that meeting, but fell to Salem College in three sets. Saturday's Tri-Match presents an opportunity to measure growth and showcase the progress made since those contests.

Carolina University enters the event riding a six-match winning streak, their longest since the 2023 season. Over the streak, the Lady Bruins have combined consistent attacking power with improved defensive play, building momentum with every outing. Head Coach Chelsea Jones has emphasized balance and energy as keys to sustaining success against competitive regional opponents.

"Every match is another chance for us to raise our level," said Coach Jones. "We've been playing with great focus, and this weekend will test us to continue that consistency against teams we know well."

The Lady Bruins will lean on their depth and experience to extend their winning ways, while NC Wesleyan and Salem will both look to flip the script from earlier results. With two matches in one afternoon, execution and stamina will be crucial for Carolina to continue its climb.

First serve is set for 2:00 p.m. at Salem College in Winston-Salem, followed by the crosstown matchup at 4:00 p.m. against the host Spirits.
