Winston-Salem, N.C. – September 12, 2025 – Carolina University Women's Volleyball put together a dominant performance on their home court, sweeping three matches in straight sets to finish 3–0 at the Williams Gymnasium Quad Match. The Bruins defeated Livingstone College, Johnson & Wales University (Charlotte), and Spartanburg Methodist College without dropping a set, improving their season record to 8–4.
Match One: Carolina 3, Livingstone 0
The Bruins opened the day with a 25–21, 25–16, 25–20 win over Livingstone College. Carolina's balanced attack was led by Karli Totel (8 kills, .333 hitting) and Jordan Connolly (8 kills, .500), while setter Syvannah Poore dished out 17 assists and added 6 service aces. The defense held strong, limiting Livingstone to just a .119 team hitting percentage.
Match Two: Carolina 3, Johnson & Wales 0
Carolina carried its momentum into the second match, sweeping Johnson & Wales (25–23, 25–13, 25–5). Karli Totel posted a match-high 12 kills, while SarahElizabeth Samuels contributed 10 kills and Natalia Cano delivered 4 service aces. The Bruins' offense hit .296 as a team, while the defense forced JWU into a .045 hitting percentage.
Match Three: Carolina 3, Spartanburg Methodist 0
The nightcap saw the Bruins close out the day in commanding fashion, defeating Spartanburg Methodist 25–19, 25–15, 25–18. Samuels once again paced the attack with 12 kills, supported by Connolly with 10 kills and Poore with 20 assists and 5 aces. The Bruins hit .299 as a team while holding their opponent to just .106.

Head Coach Chelsea Jones praised the team's focus and execution throughout the day:
"I'm very proud of the way our team competed in all three matches. We played with energy, maintained composure, and executed well on both sides of the ball. Going 3–0 at home is a big step forward for us, and it shows the progress we're making as a group."
