Bluefield, VA – March 25, 2025 – Carolina University and Bluefield University clashed in a competitive softball doubleheader, with each team securing a win on the day.
Game 1: Bluefield Walks Off Carolina in a Pitching Duel

The first game was a defensive battle, with strong pitching performances on both sides. Carolina University fell to Bluefield by a narrow 3-2 score.

Carolina stormed back in the fifth, scoring four runs, including a three-run home run by D. Brooks, the first of her career. Carolina continued to pile on runs, adding three in the sixth and two more in the seventh to seal the win.
K. Bolch also homered, and Z. Thomas had a big day at the plate, finishing with three hits, including a triple. M. Hamilton pitched a complete game, allowing six runs (five earned) while striking out five.
