Augusta, GA – The Carolina University Women's Basketball team traveled to Paine College last night to face off against the Lions in a tough matchup. The Bruins overcame the Lions with a dominant performance.

The Bruins took a commanding 31-17 lead in the first quarter, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Le'Asia Matthews and Bianca Gonzales were the offensive leaders, with Matthews scoring 22 points and Gonzales adding 19 of her own. The Bruins' defense was exceptional, as they claimed 23 of their 91 points in the fourth quarter while holding the Lions to just 9 points in that same period.

Women's Basketball will return to action on Saturday, February 15th, against Virginia University of Lynchburg in a home game scheduled for 1:00 PM.
