Carolina University Men’s Soccer Set to Open CAC Tournament Play

Lawrenceville, Ga. — November 7, 2025

Postseason play has arrived, and the Carolina University Men's Soccer team under Head Coach Craig Golding is ready to begin its Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Tournament journey. The Bruins enter as the No. 4 seed and will take on No. 5 seed Florida College on Friday, November 7, at 5:00 p.m. at the Grizzly Soccer Complex on the campus of Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Carolina heads into the tournament with a 7-4-2 overall record, highlighted by an impressive home slate of 5-1-1 and a well-balanced attack that has produced 22 goals on the season. The Bruins closed out the regular season with a strong 2-1 victory over Milligan University, showcasing their ability to finish close matches. However, they fell to Johnson & Wales in their finale, providing extra motivation heading into postseason play.

Offensively, the Bruins have been led by Will McCamley and Lewis Jacklin, who have each netted eight goals this season, combining for 16 of Carolina's 22 total goals. McCamley also leads the team with 19 points, while Jacklin's knack for scoring in critical moments has made him a consistent threat. Goalkeeper Joshua Wilson anchors the back line with a 1.36 goals-against average and a .724 save percentage, recording three shutouts on the season.

Florida College enters Friday's matchup with a 7-8-2 record, looking to avenge an earlier exit in last year's postseason. The Falcons have proven to be a capable side in close contests and will test Carolina's defensive discipline and transition speed.

Coach Golding praised his team's preparation and resilience ahead of the postseason:

"Our guys have shown tremendous growth this year," Golding said. "We've battled through a challenging schedule and proven we can compete with anyone. The postseason is about execution and belief, and we're excited for the opportunity to keep our season going."

Friday's matchup promises to be a clash between two evenly matched programs fighting for a place in the CAC semifinals, which will also be played in Lawrenceville on Sunday November 9.
