The Carolina University Men's Basketball team, led by Head Coach Jacob Heck, is set to travel to Alice Lloyd College to compete in the annual Irma Stepp Memorial Classic. The Bruins will take on Great Lakes Christian College on Friday at 5:00 p.m. on the campus of Alice Lloyd in Pippa Passes, Kentucky.

The tournament, held each year in honor of Miss Irma Stepp, celebrates a beloved member of the Alice Lloyd College community. Miss Irma came to Pippa Passes in 1999 following the passing of her husband, Joseph Stepp, and quickly became a cherished part of campus life. For 23 years, she served the college as a devoted volunteer in the bookstore and as a mentor and "grandmother" figure to countless students, faculty, and staff. Her lasting legacy continues to be felt throughout the Alice Lloyd community, and this annual event stands as a tribute to her kindness, faith, and service.

On the court, Carolina University looks to rebound after a pair of close losses that brought their record to 1–2 on the young season. Coach Heck's squad has shown promise early, featuring balanced scoring and a defensive identity built on energy and discipline. The Bruins will aim to return to form as they face a solid Great Lakes Christian team.

Great Lakes Christian enters Friday's matchup with a 3–2 record and momentum after winning two straight games. The Crusaders have demonstrated offensive versatility and will provide a good test for Carolina's defensive structure.

Coach Heck emphasized the importance of using the weekend to refocus and build chemistry:

"The Irma Stepp Classic is a special event, and we're honored to be part of it," Heck said. "Our group has competed hard in every game, and now it's about cleaning up the details, trusting one another, and getting back to playing our brand of basketball."

The matchup marks the first of two games for Carolina at the Irma Stepp Memorial Classic, as the Bruins will play The Crown College on Saturday November 8 at 3:30pm.
