Winston-Salem, N.C. — Carolina University Men's Soccer is back on the road this week as they travel to Lawrenceville, Georgia, to begin Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) play against Florida National University. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
The Bruins enter the matchup with a 4-2-1 record following a 2-2 draw against Pfeiffer University, where Carolina showed resilience after conceding early. Head Coach Craig Golding and his squad are focused on carrying that momentum into conference competition as they face one of the CAC's top-performing programs.
Florida National, sitting at 6-2-3, has proven to be a strong opponent early in the season with a balanced attack and a stout defense. Thursday's contest marks the first CAC fixture of the year for Carolina University, while Florida National has already played two conference matches. Starting conference play adds weight to what's expected to be a tightly contested matchup.
While in Georgia, Carolina will remain in Lawrenceville to face United States Sports University on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m., wrapping up their southern road swing.
The Bruins look to build on their early-season success and make a strong statement as CAC play begins.
