Carolina University Women’s Volleyball Set for Tri-Match at Milligan

The Carolina University Women's Volleyball team will hit the road this weekend for a Tri-Match, traveling to Milligan, Tennessee, to face Johnson University and the host Milligan University on Saturday, November 1.

The Bruins enter the weekend with a strong 20-10 overall record, continuing an impressive campaign highlighted by balanced offense and disciplined defense. Carolina opens the day against the Johnson University Royals (25-6) at 1:00 p.m., before taking on Milligan University (6-22) in the second match at 3:00 p.m.

Led by setter Syvannah Poore, who averages 5.75 assists per set, and outside hitter SarahElizabeth Samuels, who leads the team with 260 kills, Carolina's offense has been clicking all season. Fellow hitters Karli Totel (225 kills) and Britney Comolli (218 kills) have provided steady production on the attack, while Freshman Kai Horta anchors the back row with 484 digs on the year.

The Bruins' success has come through consistency, posting a .183 team hitting percentage while holding opponents to .152. Carolina's defense has also been stout at the net, recording 137 total blocks on the season.

Saturday's opening match against Johnson University will test the Bruins against one of the top programs in the region, while the finale versus Milligan provides an opportunity to close the weekend on a strong note before finishing regular season play.
