Carolina University Men’s Soccer Set for Final Regular-Season Test at Johnson & Wales

Winston-Salem, N.C. – After an exciting 2–1 Senior Night victory over a strong Milligan University side, the Carolina University Bruins Men's Soccer team will hit the road for their regular-season finale on Wednesday, October 29, as they take on Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m., marking the Bruins' final match before the start of the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Tournament next week.

Carolina enters the matchup with a 7–3–2 overall record, riding a wave of confidence after closing the home slate with a gritty performance against Milligan. The Bruins' attack has been a key factor all season, netting 22 goals across 11 matches while averaging 2.00 goals per game. Senior forward Lewis Jacklin has led the charge offensively with eight goals, while senior forward Will McCamley has added seven goals and three assists, giving Carolina one of the most dangerous scoring duos in the CAC. Freshman Samuel Richter has also provided a spark with two goals in limited action.

On the defensive end, the Bruins have been anchored by senior goalkeeper Joshua Wilson, who has started all 11 contests and posted a 1.43 goals-against average and .689 save percentage along with two shutouts. The backline—led by veterans Lewis Jacklin, Josef Holmes, and Alex Tweddle—has provided steady play against a tough schedule that has included multiple ranked and NAIA-caliber programs.

Wednesday's opponent, Johnson & Wales University, enters the contest at 8–6–3 and presents a balanced attack with several offensive threats. The Wildcats have shown quality at home and will test the Bruins' composure as Carolina looks to maintain rhythm heading into postseason play.

Head Coach Craig Golding emphasized the importance of momentum at this stage of the season:

"We've continued to build throughout the year and shown a lot of maturity as a group," said Golding. "This is a great opportunity for us to sharpen our execution and carry that focus into the conference tournament next week."

Kickoff between the Bruins and Wildcats is slated for 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
