Carolina University Volleyball Travels to Bluefield for Tuesday Night Matchup

Winston-Salem, NC — After a strong showing at home this past weekend, the Carolina University Bruins Women's Volleyball team is set to hit the road for a non-conference matchup against Bluefield University on Tuesday, October 28.

The Bruins hosted a tri-match on Friday, October 24, earning a straight-set sweep over Washington Adventist University before falling in four competitive sets to Bob Jones University. The split moved Carolina University to an impressive 19–10 overall record as they continue their push through the late stages of the 2025 campaign.

Carolina enters Tuesday's contest averaging 11.9 kills per set while hitting .179 as a team, paired with a balanced defensive effort anchored by nearly 16 digs per set. The Bruins have found success both at home and on the road this season, holding a 4–3 record away from Winston-Salem.

Individually, SarahElizabeth Samuels leads the offensive attack with 252 kills (2.52 per set), supported by Karli Totel (2.39 K/S) and Britney Comolli (2.23 K/S). Junior setter Syvannah Poore continues to drive the Bruins' tempo, averaging 5.71 assists per set along with 42 service aces. On the defensive end, Kai Horta and Valeria Suarez have provided stability in the back row, combining for over 900 digs this season.

Bluefield University enters the matchup with a 10–9 record, looking to defend its home court against a Carolina squad eager to bounce back from Friday's loss. The Bruins will aim to rely on their depth, discipline, and consistency to secure their 20th victory of the season.

First serve is scheduled for Tuesday evening, October 28, at Bluefield University in Bluefield, Virginia at 6:30pm.
