Winston-Salem, N.C. — October 25, 2025 —
The Carolina University Men's Soccer team closed out its home slate in winning fashion, earning a 2–1 victory over Milligan University on Senior Day at Truist Sports Park. The Bruins struck twice in the opening half and held firm defensively the rest of the way to secure the result.
After the visitors opened the scoring in the 19th minute through Federico Confaloni, Carolina responded just seven minutes later. Senior midfielder Will McCamley calmly converted a penalty kick in the 26th minute to level the match at 1–1. The Bruins then found the go-ahead goal late in the first half when Lewis Jacklin slotted home in the 42nd minute for what proved to be the game-winner.
Carolina outshot Milligan 16–11 and placed five shots on target. McCamley led the attack with six shots and two on frame, while Jacklin added two shots, both on goal, including the decisive strike. In goal, Joshua Wilson went the distance and collected two saves to preserve the win.
The Bruins' back line, anchored by Karell Buitendijk and Kilian Schuetzinger, absorbed sustained pressure in the second half as Milligan pushed for an equalizer, but the defense held firm to seal the 2–1 result.
Head Coach Craig Golding praised his team's composure and effort on Senior Day:
"I'm incredibly proud of this group and especially our seniors. They've set the standard for what Carolina Soccer represents — discipline, work rate, and togetherness. Today's performance was a great reflection of that character."
