Winston-Salem, N.C. — Carolina University Women's Volleyball hosted a home tri-match on Friday, October 24, inside Williams Gymnasium, welcoming Washington Adventist University and Bob Jones University for the day's action. The Bruins opened the day in dominant fashion, sweeping Washington Adventist 3–0 (25–8, 25–12, 25–20) before falling to Bob Jones 3–1 (25–21, 21–25, 27–25, 25–18) in the nightcap, which also served as Senior Night honoring Kammi Naude and Emma-Grace Dubuc for their leadership and contributions to the program.
Match 1 – Carolina 3, Washington Adventist 0
Carolina came out strong in the opening match, controlling play from start to finish to secure a straight-set victory over Washington Adventist. The Bruins hit an impressive .250 as a team, led by Karli Totel's near-perfect .750 hitting percentage with six kills on eight swings. Kammi Naude added five kills and a .250 clip, while Britney Comolli tallied four kills and a team-high three blocks. Valeria Suarez was outstanding behind the service line with six aces, and Natalia Cano directed the offense with 11 assists and two aces. Defensively, Melia Coleman and Suarez anchored the back row with nine digs apiece.
Match 2 – Bob Jones 3, Carolina 1
In the nightcap, Carolina battled through four competitive sets against Bob Jones University in front of a strong Senior Night crowd. Britney Comolli paced the offense with 12 kills, while Karli Totel and Kammi Naude followed with 10 and 7, respectively. Syvannah Poore distributed 20 assists and added nine digs, and Natalia Cano contributed another 20 assists with 15 digs. Kai Horta anchored the defense with 21 digs, while Rachel Powell added five kills on a .150 hitting percentage. Despite strong efforts, Bob Jones capitalized on key late-set runs to take the match 3–1.
Senior Night Recognition
Between matches, Carolina University celebrated the careers of senior middle blocker Kammi Naude and libero/defensive specialist Emma Grace Dubuc. Both have been integral to the program's growth and success, exemplifying leadership, work ethic, and the university's "Champions of Character" values on and off the court.
"It was a special day for our program," said Head Coach Chelsea Jones. "We played some really solid volleyball, and I'm proud of how our team competed and supported our seniors. Kammi and Emma Grace have been incredible leaders for us — their impact will be felt for years to come."
With the tri-match complete, Carolina University moves to 19–10 overall and will look to carry its momentum for the rest of the regular season into postseason play.
