Carolina University Women’s Soccer Dominates Home Finale with 4–0 Victory in Annual Pink Game

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — October 23, 2025 — Carolina University Women's Soccer closed out its 2025 home slate in emphatic fashion Thursday evening at Truist Sports Park, earning a commanding 4–0 victory over Toccoa Falls College in the program's Annual Pink Game to support breast cancer awareness.

The Bruins controlled the match from start to finish, outshooting the Screaming Eagles 30–5 and holding a 10–1 advantage in corner kicks. Senior leadership and balanced scoring paved the way for Carolina's fourth win of the season.

Sophomore Chelsea Prescott opened the scoring in the 27th minute, finishing a cross from Peyton Battilla for her second goal of the season. Shortly before halftime, Alexa Anderson doubled the advantage, slotting home her fifth goal of the year off a setup from Prescott to send the Bruins into the break with a 2–0 lead.

Freshman Emily Avila made her mark early in the second half, finding the net in the 47th minute thanks to an assist from Anderson. Destini Wilson capped the scoring late with her first  goal of the season in the 85th minute to secure the 4–0 result.

Carolina goalkeeper Waleska Gonzalez anchored the defense with three saves en route to her second shutout of the season. The back line, led by Kyara Gonzalez and Karmen Smith, kept Toccoa Falls to just three shots on goal.

Head Coach Boo Tesh praised his team's energy and execution in the home finale:

"Tonight was a special one — not only because of how we played, but because of what the Pink Game represents," Tesh said. "Our team came out with great focus, shared the ball, and played for each other. It was a great way to close out our home schedule."

The Bruins (4–9–3) now turn their attention to the final stretch of the regular season as they prepare for conference tournament play.
