Game Recap: Men's Soccer | | Hope Turbyfill, Sports Information Director

Men's Soccer Dominates SWU

Advance, NC- Carolina University Men's Soccer hosted a highly anticipated home match up against the Southern Wesleyan University Knights. The Bruins entered the game determined to maintain their impressive three-year unbeaten streak on home turf. Their last encounter with SWU at home in 2021 had ended in defeat, so the Blue and Gold were eager to exact revenge.

In a commanding performance, the Bruins triumphed with a 4-1 victory, leaving no chance for the Knights to secure a win.

The Knights struck first, taking an early lead, but Bruins' Luigi Piccoli swiftly leveled the score, shifting the momentum in Carolina University's favor. Before the first half concluded, Daniel Kubrynski and Robin Salge each added a goal, further solidifying the Bruins' advantage.

Karell Buitendijk capitalized on a red card given to the Knights in the second half, scoring an unassisted goal to seal the Bruins' 4-1 victory.

The Bruins will return to action on September 11th at 7:00 PM, taking to the road to face Guilford College.
