Women’s Soccer Clinches Road Victory

Laurinburg, NC – Carolina University Women's Soccer earned their first official win of the 2024 season with a 3-2 victory over St. Andrews University on the road this Sunday. The win brings the Bruins' record to 1-1 for the season.

After a 0-2 deficit in the first half, the Bruins regrouped during the break and came out strong, determined to fight back. Within five minutes of the restart, freshman Chelsea Prescott scored an unassisted goal to spark the Bruins' comeback. Natalie Puskar and Paytin Batilla added their own goals, completing the turnaround. The Bruins' defense held firm, keeping the Knights at bay as time wound down. Ultimately, it was a hard-fought victory for the Blue and Gold.

The Bruins will be back in action on the road on September 4th as they take on William Peace University at 4:30 PM.
