Laurinburg, NC- The Carolina University Men's Volleyball traveled Tuesday afternoon to battle the Knights of St. Andrews University. The Knights were able to overcome the Bruins in 4 sets with scores of 18-25, 25-20, 18-25, and 20-25.
The Bruins took the second set from the Knights, coming back from a 17-19 deficit. The Blue and Gold went on an 8-point run to put them in the lead. The score is set 24-20, and Andrew Jackson takes the set with a kill assisted by Brandon Hollifield.Â
The Bruins were unable to take the next two sets, defensively the Bruins held their own but struggled to find the court on offense. Jacob Brown led with 5 blocks and Jackson followed with 4. Libero Carson Pearce led the back row with 9 digs.
Sophomore outside Mason Kenna led with 10 kills and tallied 7 digs. Kenna has had a string of strong games for the Bruins and has consistently put the ball away in the long rallies.Â

The CU Men's Volleyball will be on the road Friday, March 25, to face off against the Eagles of Reinhardt University at 6:00 PM.
