Bluefield, VA- The Carolina University Men's Volleyball team went head-to-head with the Bluefield University Rams on Tuesday night. The Rams were able to overcome the Bruins in 3 sets with scores of 25-18, 25-19, and 25-23.
Kills leader, Bryson Abernathy, had another phenomenal night as the Bruin added 11 kills at .375, 2 blocks, and 4 digs. Right behind him was Austin Jeter who added another 6 kills, taking the team's total kill count to 29.
Momentum shifted in the 3rd set in favor of the Bruins, when Brandon Holifield recorded a kill. Hollifield brought all the energy and aided the Blue and Gold in a 5-point run. Ultimately, the Rams overcame this momentum and finished the set 25-23, finishing 3-0 over CU.
The CU men's volleyball will be at home this Thursday, March 14, to face off the Eagles of Life University at 6 PM.
