Winston-Salem, NC – Carolina University Women's Basketball hosted Allen University in an exciting matchup. The game was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams fighting for the lead throughout. The Yellow Jackets held a slight advantage at the end of the first quarter, leading by just two points.
The Bruins came out strong in the second quarter, building momentum as they stayed within striking distance. They continued to fight hard in the third quarter, trailing by only a few points, showing determination and tenacity. However, the Bruins' defense struggled in the fourth quarter, allowing the Yellow Jackets to pull away and secure a 59-85 victory.
Felisia Ondongo led the Bruins with 16 points and 6 rebounds, with 9 of those points coming in the third quarter during a valiant effort to close the deficit. Le'Asia Matthews also contributed 13 points and 6 rebounds in the team's effort.
Women's Basketball will return to action on November 20th at home, facing Pfeiffer University at 6:00 PM.
