Greensboro, NC – The Carolina University Volleyball team showcased their resilience in a thrilling 5-set match against Guilford College last night, clinching the victory with scores of 20-25, 25-17, 16-25, 25-19, and 15-13.
Sion Murrain led the offensive charge with an impressive 20 kills, while Kamra King contributed 12 kills of her own. Rebecca Walker shined with a remarkable 28 digs on the defensive end, demonstrating the Bruins' relentlessness. This defense played a crucial role in their ability to fight back and secure the hard-fought win.
Behind the service line, the Bruins kept the pressure on, delivering an impressive 13 service aces compared to the Quakers' 9. Their aggressive serving disrupted Guilford College's rhythm, consistently keeping them out of system and allowing Carolina University to maintain control throughout the match.
Women's Volleyball will be back in action this Saturday, competing in a tri-match away against North Carolina Wesleyan University at 2:00 PM and Salem College at 4:00 PM.
