Winston Salem, NC- The Blue and Gold emerged victorious in today's match-up of the Carolina University Bruins (8-5) against the Lions of Paine College (3-10). 

Redemption for the Bruins after previously having lost to the Lions, the Bears come out on top in today's match-up. The key players in tonight's game who put a stop to Paine College's 3-game win streak were Shamya Loman who held 20 points, along with Bianca Gonzales and Shantazia Gordon who both had 18 points individually for the blue and gold. 

Other notable players in tonight's game were DenAsia Mitchell holding 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Azaria Landry contributed 9 points and 4 rebounds for the Bruins, the effort and energy the Blue and Gold brought to the Saturday match-up was truly eclectic and will continue with their home-court advantage into next week.

Continuing the Bruins' hot streak into next week will be important as they face off against Johnson & Wales next Saturday, February 3, at 2:00 p.m.
