Virginia Beach, VA - Carolina University Men's Basketball played at Regent University in their last game of the season on Friday, February 24th at 6:00 pm. Regent University was 3-12 on their season stepping on to the court and struggled to match the Bruins' energy in the start of the game. CU went on an 18-5 run in the first few minutes and the Bruins worked their way into a 19 point lead at 35-16. Carolina continued to stretch their lead to 43-23 and Regent answered with a 10-0 run. The Bruins went to halftime with a score of 48-36 and quickly worked their way into a 20 point lead again in the second half at 64-44. The Royals struggled to keep up offensively and CU stretched their lead to over 40 points. The Bruins finished their highest scoring game of the season at 113-76.
Cameron Buchanan had a great game, leading all scorers with 21 points, 7 three-pointers, a steal and 2 rebounds. Micah Cooper had 18 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and a steal. Amarie Elijah-Kirby scored 14 points and had 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal. D'Shun Edwards scored 12 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, had 3 assists and 2 steals. Ethan Bell had 7 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Grady Boyce had a good game as well with 10 points.Â
