Denmark, SC - Carolina University Men's Basketball played at Voorhees University on Saturday, February 18th at 4:00 pm. Although the teams tied in the first few minutes, the Bruins quickly found a groove and took the lead. Carolina U continued to push their way up to a 17 point lead with a score of 37-20. The Tigers proceeded to hit a 14-3 run on the Bruins and went to halftime at 34-40. In the start of the second half, the Bruins hit a 13-0 run to take another 17 point lead at 53-36. CU managed to stay ahead for several minutes, but Voorhees hit a 20-3 run and took the lead at 67-65. The Bruins answered with a 4 point lead and closed out the game with a score of 77-74.
Ethan Bell led all scorers with 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Micah Cooper and Amarie Elijah-Kirby each had 11 points; Cooper had 9 rebounds and Elijah-Kirby had 4 rebounds. Vladimir Vibert had a good night as well with 10 points and 6 rebounds. D'Shun Edwards also grabbed 6 rebounds and had 6 points.Â
