Men's Soccer Opens National Championship with 1-1 Draw

Kissimmee, FL - The Carolina University Men's Soccer team (15-2-3) took on Trinity Christian College (9-7-5) in their first game of the NCCAA National Championship.

Luke Spillane-Davis added to his historic season with a goal at the 3:37 mark (assisted by Nathan Rue on a corner kick), and from then on it was a defensive battle with the Trolls. Toran Penner scored Trinity Christian's lone goal in the twenty-seventh minute.

William Cothill played all ninety minutes in goal and recorded four saves, including the play of the game in the second half to preserve the draw. 

The Bruins take on #4 Central Christian College of Kansas on Wednesday at 6pm for the final game of pool play. Live stats and stream will be available.
