Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University Women's Basketball hosted Morris College on Thursday, January 26th at 5:00 pm. The Bruins took control of the game quickly and were up 14-8 at the end of the first quarter. CU hit a 14-0 run at the start of the second quarter and managed to stay ahead, going to halftime at 32-17. The Hornets were unable to catch up to the Bruins and stayed around 20 points behind throughout the second half. Carolina U claimed the game with a final score of 61-40. 

Denasia Mitchell led all scorers with 21 points, which was a season-high as well. Mitchell grabbed 4 rebounds, 5 steals, and had 3 assists. Julisa Lang scored 16 points and had 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Kevanika Brown scored 15 points and had 5 rebounds. Lailah Heard grabbed an incredible 12 rebounds for the team. Caliyana White had 8 rebounds and Genasia Everett had 7 rebounds.
