CU WVB Splits Tri-Match in Georgia

MT. VERNON, GA - Carolina University Women's Volleyball faced Brewton-Parker College for the second time this season on Saturday, September 3rd. Despite playing a match earlier in the day, the Bruins looked strong out of the gate, taking the first two sets with ease. The Barons answered back, winning the third set 25-23. This did not discourage CU, but instead fueled them to finish the match 3-1.

Carolina University had several key contributions led by Kamra King and Chiara Mottola. King had match-high statistics with 34 assists, 20 digs, and 3 aces. Mottola had a match-high 14 kills, and was credited with 17 digs and 2 aces. Precious Heaven Hollins led the match defensively with 4.0 blocks.

The Bruins closed out the tri-match with a win and are now 4-3 on the season. Carolina University Women's Volleyball will look to defeat Clinton College on the road on Tuesday, September 6th at 6:00 pm. CU recently beat Clinton, an NCCAA DI regional opponent, who is 2-5 in their season.
