KNOXVILLE, TN - Carolina University Women's Soccer played Johnson University on Saturday, August 27th in Knoxville, TN. It was the season opener for the Bruins and they came out strong, scoring first and taking a 1-0 lead into half. The Royals were able to answer and scored three times in the second half to build their lead to 3-1. Carolina University dominated possession and took more shots than Johnson, but unfortunately were unable to convert their shots to goals. The Bruins fought hard throughout the match despite not seeing that effort on the scoreboard. Ultimately Johnson University would go on to win this match 3-1.Â

The lone goal for the Bruins was scored by Alessandra Lopez. Carolina University looks to get back on track on Wednesday, August 31st when they travel to West Virginia University Institute of Technology. This match is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm.Â
