WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Bruins Women's Soccer hosted the St. Andrews University Knights on Friday, September 2nd at BB&T Soccer Park. This match was all Carolina U from start to finish. The Bruins were up 2-0 at half but exploded in the second half. They scored 4 more goals to cruise to a 6-0 victory.Â
Natasha Mariam scored the first goal at 9:21, assisted by Mary Jester. This was the first of three goals for Mariam in this game. Including this hat trick, she has scored 5 goals in the last two matches combined. Angie Hernandez Victorino scored two goals in a row, both assisted by Sidney Smith in the 57th and 69th minute. Aaliyah Rubio also had a strong game in which she scored her second goal of the season and assisted Mariam late. Carolina University also had a very good defensive game and secured their first shut-out of the season.Â
