Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University Women's Soccer hosted Pfeiffer University on Wednesday, September 21st at 6:00 pm. CU dominated offensively and came out of the gate strong. The Bruins converted the first goal in the 7th minute of the match. They scored again at 30:01 and 38:42, leading 3-0 for the rest of the first half. In the second half, the Falcons increased the pressure on the Bruins and created some offensive opportunities. After the 57th minute, the score had closed to 3-2. CU was able to make the necessary adjustments and hung on for the victory.
Natasha Mariam (6) scored the first goal of the match followed by Aaliyah Rubio (5) with the second goal. Freshman Avilene Arellano Ordaz scored the third and final goal for CU and her first of the season.Â
