Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University Women's Volleyball hosted Pfeiffer University on Wednesday, September 14th at 6:00 pm. Earlier this week the Bruins entered the NCCAA DI Top 10 rankings at #10 and looked the part on the court. CU made this win look easy as they once again won in straight sets. Carolina U completed the first set with a score of 25-15. That momentum carried into the second set and they rolled, finishing with the same score. The Bruins finished the match with a final score of 25-13.Â
Carolina University's offense was strong against the Falcons and they dominated all statistical categories. Kamra King recorded a match-high 21 assists. Giulia La Longa had a match-high 13 kills and recorded 1 block and 5 digs. Chiara Mottola had a great overall game with 7 kills, 3 aces, 1 block, and 4 assists. Rebecca Walker recorded a match-high 15 digs and also scored 1 ace.Â
The Bruins are now 7-3 in the season and have won 4 consecutive matches. They will be on the road this weekend for a tri-match. CU's first match will be against Ferrum College on Saturday, September 17th at 1:00 pm in Misenheimer, NC.Â
