Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University hosted Paine College on Saturday, September 10th. This was the first meeting between these NCCAA DI South Region opponents. The Bruins dominated the court and won in straight sets with ease. The first set was completed with a score of 25-14. The Bruins took that momentum into the second set and finished with a score of 25-13. In the third set, CU finished the match with a final score of 25-21.

Carolina University had many contributors in this one-sided victory. Giulia La Longa recorded a  match-high 14 kills, followed by Chiara Mottola with 8 kills and Sarah Pickett had 4 kills. Rebecca Walker had match-highs of 5 aces and 11 digs. She also recorded 6 assists. Kamra King recorded a match-high 17 assists. 

The Bruins have now won 3 consecutive matches and moved to 6-3 on the season. CU will look to continue their winning streak at home against Pfeiffer University on Wednesday, September 14th at 6:00 pm in the Williams Gymnasium.
