Cleveland, GA - The CU Bruins played at Truett McConnell University to complete the first semester on Thursday, December 15th. The Bruins and the Bears traded baskets for the first quarter but TMU began to take control. CU was down by 5 points at halftime for a score of 23-28. Unfortunately, they were unable to make a comeback after the break and TMU took their lead up to 16 points by the end of the third quarter. Despite efforts from the Bruins, Truett McConnell held them off and closed the game out with a score of 62-41.

Denasia Mitchell led the Bruins with 15 points and had 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Caliyana White followed with 4 three pointers and a total of 13 points. Ashley Roberts had 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds for CU. Jada Ballard and Shantazia Gordon were also a huge help defensively, Ballard grabbing 6 rebounds and Gordon grabbing 5. 

Carolina University finished their semester 5-4 and will return after the holidays to play on Saturday, January 7th at Montreat College at 5:30 pm.
