Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University Women's Volleyball hosted St. Andrews University for their last match of the season on Thursday, November 3rd. CU celebrated Senior night to honor those valuable players and their impact on the Program. The Knights have been a challenging matchup for the Bruins in the past and they came in with confidence after sweeping CU earlier this season. It was an intense start as St. Andrews won the first set 29-27. Carolina University took back the second set by a score 25-18. CU continued to fight in a close third set to finish 26-24. St. Andrews took the lead early in the fourth and were able to finish 25-19. With the score 2-2, the teams moved into the fifth set. The Bruins utilized a strong home crowd to give them an edge, finishing the set 15-8 and completing the match 3-2.Â
Senior Chiara Mottola led the Bruins with 16 kills, followed by Senior Giulia La Longa with 14 kills. Senior Ariane Ramalho recorded 2.0 solo blocks and 3.0 block assists. Kamra King recorded a match-high 37 assists. Rebecca Walker had 28 digs followed by La Longa with 25 and King with 24 digs.Â
